Is there anywhere near Rosarito Beach or Ensenada(fish market) where you can buy cleaned, pounded, and sliced abalone?

I haven't seen fresh abalone for sale in the market place here - only canned. Most of the production is going to where the market is paying the highest prices right now - Asia.

Thanks, I think you are correct as to where it is going, Asia. Same can be said for blue fin tuna.
