Default Someone please explain the "free zone" to me

I am planning on moving to Baja in a few months, but for reasons I won't get into I have a lot of 'stuff' I need to bring across. Most of it's not worth much, and the things that are more valuable I will be leaving stateside until after I am more settled, but some of the stuff I need to take across right away is large. Am I correct in thinking that I will not be taxed when I bring this stuff down, as long as it doesn't leave Baja? That's question #1.

Question #2: Do I have to import my truck, or am I OK driving it down there indefinitely as long as it has a valid US registration and my visa is in order? What about my trailers?

Question #3: Is there a limit to the size or type of vehicle I bring into Baja? To explain, I can buy an old school bus or a box truck for around $3,000, and as I understand it that is less than I can expect to pay a moving company to transport my stuff in a similarly sized vehicle. (Reasonably long drive in the states before I get to the border, too.) Then I can return the truck or bus to the states and sell it, only losing the money I spent to register the vehicle and get it in and out of Mexico. Is this an option?

If not, what about buying the vehicle in Mexico?

Thanks in advance.
