This good story says other policemen took it upon themselves to take these five men into custody and turn them over to the PGR. Now that's certainly interesting. It takes guervos to turn your bosses in. I hope they we wearing double face masks. The man being extorted was a "businessman" drug maker.

[i]TIJUANA BC 10 DE SEPTIEMBRE DE 2013 (AFN).-Al menos cinco elementos de la Policía Estatal Preventiva (PEP), entre ellos dos con cargos de jefes, fueron arrestados por extorsionar a un hombre con 20 mil dólares.

De manera extraoficial trascendió que fueron detenidos por sus propios compañeros y entregados a la Procuraduría General de la República (PGR). La denuncia es en referencia a que los estatales le exigieron 20 mil dólares a un "empresario" fabricante de estupefacientes, a quienes habían aprehendido en días pasados. La Secretaría de Seguridad del Estado (SSPE), confirmó que ya se tenía una investigación abierta en contra de los ahora aprehendidos.

TIJUANA BC, September 10, 2013 - At least five State Preventative Police officers, among them two Chiefs, were arrested for extorting a man of US$20,000.

Unofficially, it was reported they were arrested by their own companions on the force and delivered to the Federal Attorney General. The complaint is in reference to the state police demanding US$20,000 from a "businessman" who makes drugs, who they had arrested days before. The State Secretary of Security confirmed that they have an open investigation against those arrested.
