Default THE EJIDO IS AT IT AGAIN..............

THE EJIDO IS AT IT AGAIN..............

Ejido Esteban Cantú, of Punta Banda expropriation fame, is doing what they have historically done in the past, taking back property........this time the land at roads's end in La Bufadora. The same land on which sits the curio shops, as well as houses above the single tourist destination Ensenada has to offer. Ensenadenses consider this their Disneyland.

Details are sparse for an outsider at this time, but a partial traffic blockade has been formed at the entrance to the "mall" and angry attendants of the take-over are present in numbers with their banners and signs.

My information is that recently the landlord, who had been renting the Puestos [stalls] to merchants at no small price, was informed by the Ejido that he was out, and they were in.
Not only in, but their protesting presence in numbers is insisting the current tenants vacate the premises.
This should be the beginning of a heated court battle, and when/if I see the Army make a presence in the issue, the international reputation of Mexico being a safe place to invest and live will take a thirty year step backwards.....regardless of who's right or wrong.

The damage to local tourism will be immediate as this is the destination of the tour busses and taxis [many] bringing passengers from the cruise ships, and they must pass, on foot, the menacing looking protestors at the entrance.

It's not a pretty picture.

I doubt that. He probably thought he owned the property.
In fact, I know one merchant out there that has always claimed to own the property his Puesto stands on, and he's not a taco vendor, nor is he a deluded fool. [well.....maybe he is....we'll see]

What if the land was processed out of the Ejido properly and then sold?

I think "properly" is the operative word. There are predator attorneys who specialize in finding the uncrossed "T" in a contract to have it nullified.
It's just a situation to avoid since the courts bend over backward to find in favor of the ejidos. Land reform is the legacy of their revolution and it keeps the masses placated. It would almost be unthinkable for a NOB foreigner to win against them. The average American migrating to Mexico wouldn't have enough time left in his life to fight it anyway.

La Bufadora , B.C. - Aurelio Alvarez Espinoza accused members of Ejido Coronel Esteban Cantú want to usurp their lands on the La Bufadora commercial and tourist center is installed , because apparently their parents acquired under President Adolfo López Mateos.

The small landowner and born place on August 14, 1961 showed documents to substantiate his family apparently owns much of the territory that is now in legal dispute.

"They want to usurp my land. Had an agricultural trial that is 112 /98 which I have not been defeated or time or trial. Do not know why this judge ( Victor Miguel Bravo Melgoza ) has ruled in favor of the ejido if land is not ejido.

"I do not know why owners of this land autollaman knowing that here we have the title , paid expenses on the farm ; Certified Public Registry of Property of Commerce of Ensenada , the plane lands , and other documents collated by the Agrarian Reform in the Federal District . they are original , certified copies , "he said .

Legal Aspects

Alvarez Espinoza emphasized that there has been conquered time and or trial, so we felt that ejidatarios are not entitled to enter their lands, remarked that tenants - the other party to the conflict - also invade their land .

" When the trust is formed in 1994 or 1995 , are delivering the right of way by which we were not compensated or are invited by Escrow . This I came to do Ruffo Appel Raul Soria, Reds Funcke and Mayor Manuel Montenegro.

" I have 23 acres . My dad sold five hectáras . José Díaz Contreras also gave me five hectares. Two associations are Alvarez and Diaz Contreras , we are the sole owners of the Bufadora . Not want to pay me . Why not take it out ? good question Where are the authorities? they've stepped my rights and what happened , "he explained .

Alvarez Espinoza said that his father bought in 1965 to María Arcos Chavez, who originally bought the land to the nation, under President Adolfo López Mateos.

"Our father went to Santa Rosalia 12 and that's when I took to the invasion after a man said : . 'Hey And you are the owner Well either way it took me the hill and the whole thing here on ? bag , but I have the papers , " said his brother , who was present at the interview.

It also showed a document dated to September 5, 1985 , when his father paid the earth itself which is currently valued at millions of dollars. Currently believes that its position is supported by about 150 people involved in the conflict.

What a clusterfuck..... There are now 3 parties arguing over the land?

I've watched multiple "owners" with "papers" fence off the same piece of Federal Zone land and claim it for themselves across the street from us. We talked with two "owners" who both claimed they had no idea another person also claims to own it. They have all walked away and never came back. The only thing worse than having a piece of land you don't really own is going the next step and actually building on it- only to have your home or business taken away.

Claims are just noise and confusion. Decisions, bought and paid for, by the judge, are where it's at.

It's said that the final verdict comes out Monday. It's also being said that if the final verdict favors anyone other than the ejido, there may be blood in the dirt.

Thees eeeees geettin' good.

BTW....that's what the ejido implies.
