Peña Nieto and the new PRI

President Enrique Peña Nieto will appear on the cover of Time Magazine, whose cover article is titled "Saving Mexico" y will hit the newsstands this coming February 24th.

Journalist Michael Crowley, who together with Mark Stevenson has been closely following the Peña Nieto administration since his presidential candidacy, is the author of this article which speaks of the President's structural reforms in Mexico.

Enrique Peña Nieto had previously appeared on the cover of Time back in December 2012 after having won the presidential election.

38% of the vote is not exactly a mandate, so it will be interesting to see if the Time article portrays Peña Nieto as the royalty implied by the photo. Even more interesting will be whether or not Mexico's scaled-back participation in The War on Drugs will result in a reduction in drug-related violence.
