Storm is hitting us hard...

The much talked about storm finally hit shore in our neck of the woods this afternoon around 2:00PM. It steadily built up in force and we now have winds gusting up to 40 knots. Something we enjoy down here is that we know at least our power won't go out. Even though our solar panels only put out about 30-40% of normal amps today, the wind turbine is doing its job to keep our main battery bank up.

Wishing all of you a safe and dry place to weather this storm. Baileys goes really well with a hot cup of coffee on days like this...

WOW!! The pic of the ocean is great, but the water spout near TJ really got my attention!

Hunker down, stay safe & dry.....oh btw, we had clear blue skies today!

I'm guessing this is part of the same system that is bringing some sorely needed rain to California NOTB, and then some more snow to us in the Northeast by Monday.

Got lucky with this shot, 2PM-ish Friday across Ensenada Bay. Storm has underperformed in moisture at approx 1/2 inch as of noon Saturday.

I don't recognize the 10-12? story building as anything near TJ Playas or anywhere along the coast of TJ to Rosarito. The lush greenery, foreground hotel and rest of the landscape is also a mystery in these photos. This big honkin' Tijuana water spout doesn't show up anywhere else? Still sleuthing. cheers, Doc

we've likely been duped. A gully-washer and beach closer of a storm though.

The 6 o'clock channel 10 news said that water spouts were spotted in Oceanside at 5 pm
so that makes this probable

Have always enjoyed storms ... provided they didn't cause damage and/or loss of life and I was warm dry and had food, water, power and some firewood

Someone said this went by, some time ago ... I didn't see it and can't believe it
