Police in Mexico's western state of Michoacan detained an alleged member of the Knights Templar cartel who is suspected of kidnapping children to harvest their organs, an official said Monday.

Michoacan state Public Safety Secretary Carlos Castellanos Becerra alleged that Manuel Plancarte Gaspar was part of the cartel's organ-trafficking ring. The ring would kidnap children and take them to rented homes with medical equipment where their organs were removed, Castellanos Becerra charged.

I received a private message a few weeks ago from a man in Tijuana about a dead boy found with organs missing, but didn't know what to do with the info at the time (and still don't):

"Heads up on some new news in TJ. From my girlfriend a school principal: A Boy was kidnapped about 2 weeks ago. She was posting pictures of the lost boy yesterday. He was about 14 years old, and he was kidnapped from outside a school in the Centro
while his parents were waiting for him. They found his body-without organs."
