esquina versus rincón
When my wife and I got married, my parents gave us a little plaque that reads "Dios bendiga a cada rincón de esta casa" or "God bless every corner of this house". In listening to both Spanish and Mexican soccer, however, the word "rincón" isn't used to signify a corner kick, but rather "esquina", as in "tiro de esquina". Are the two translations of corner interchangeable, or are there definite use cases for each?

Re: esquina versus rincón
Esquina is "corner" but rincon is used more like the word "nook"...

Re: esquina versus rincón
Gracias, BajaGringo! I guess a "nook kick" would sound rather strange...
