Default Something Rick Left?

Not sure if this is something that Tropical Storm Rick left us???

I took the photo yesterday just as we were finishing up work on the house for the day. The colors were even more vibrant than this photo can do justice..

That's a powerful pic you captured!

Isn't it frustrating how our eyes & brain capture colors that the camera can fail to capture! I've taken pics solely for the colors I've seen, only to delete then as soon as I've downloaded them; the pic on my screen was nothing compared to what I saw that prompted me to take the pics!

That may be true....but I know what I see when I see it....I can't help it if the camera isn't smart enough to see what I see!

But, I've also seen many photographs which colors were far more vivid then reality.
Especially beach scenes with different hues of the ocean. And also some sunsets/rises.
Although I do agree that the ones in La Paz are hard to beat. Miss the Pelicanos bar for those. And did see some impressive ones in Mazatlan, even without the mountainous background.

And Gringo,
forgot to mention that I really like that picture. Very well done.

It might not be the camera's fault.

Your computer screen quality, settings, video card (if you have one) etc...play a large part in how good a picture looks on a monitor. Stock computers that haven't been upgraded or tweeked and cheap monitors...or laptops like mine... just can't do it justice.

Sorry to say, but unless you're positive you have the best monitor and all the settings are optimum, you may have deleted some pretty good pics!

Sometimes, it doesn't look good on the screen, but if I put it on a disk or whatever, and print it out at WalMart or our local Kodak kiosk, it comes out much better than what's on the monitor.

I know who Plato was....but I'm crushed that I'm not adored because he's dead! Surely, there must be someone....oh never mind!

BajaGringo,

that first photo sure looks like one that would warrant a $3 large print at the local digi-prints store.........

Maybe someday... in you're FREE TIME......

Funny you say that. I have a large file folder where I have been tucking away photos for that very reason. It will be a fun project once the house is done. Problem is that there are over 100 photos in there!

He caved before they were invented.

Your pics (all of you) seemed to me a coffee table book waiting to happen. Prints on a wall is obvious, but the cofee table thing then became:

Can you laminate them and they become coasters, placemats, etc.? Of course you would enjoy them for personal use, but they would also be wonderful gifts.
