July 4th fireworks

We will be on the road down (hiway 5) to Baja for 2 weeks including the 4th of July. So if this is an American celebration, why are so many firework shows going off in the Rosarito area?

I love it, can see them from my deck and can see & hear the the wilder ones on the local beach, but are the Mexicans just happy to celebrate with us????

I have found that in most Latin American countries they are happy to find any reason to celebrate and party!

You should be around on Christmas or New Years Eve.....sounds like downtown Baghdad during Desert Storm.

I have seen some signs in Rosarito advertising fire work shows on July 4th. People living here are always setting of firecrackers. Many many went off for First Day of Summer this week. Always a party going on.......Enjoy
