They are going to "pay" for this by raising fees on the visas that are being obtained by those doing things the right way ?????? Once again they are punishing the wrong ones with their methods....

...and at the same time, Barrack Hussein Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid are looking to grant amnesty to millions of illegals. In 10 years we'll have another 12 million fresh illegals demanding immigration reform i.e, amnesty.

Schumer's statement is so typical. If they raise the fees on the HIBI by 2K it's not likely to deter foreign company from bringing in a highly skilled employee. But if it does deter and create American jobs, as he says, then the appropriation won't be paid for. Which side of the plate do you want to hit from Chuck?

Schumer's been on the huge money dole for so long he double speak mastered and thinks the small people are too stupid to figure it out.

Noproblemo's observation on the absurdity of the logic is right on. Don't think it is much of a no brainer that that we would save 600 mill by sealing the border, probably more.

How come you used only Obama's middle name? What about Pelosi's and Reid's middle names, or aren't they inflammatory enough (to people who think like you) for ya?

What makes Jackie a "good woman," in your mind, and Michelle not? Let me guess ....

I dont under stand what makes one person better. In the above post the comparison was Jackie vs Michell . I for one fail to see the difference they were both great ambassadors well reciver in foriegn countrys Jackies education groomed her to become a socialite Michells education background is in law they were and are both very articulate and as stated very good states persons.
WHATS THE DIFFERENCE

Yikes! Did I just stumble into a Tea Party Rally? Please tell me how invoking the President's middle name, or dumping on his wife should not be construed as racist.

Aside from that, PLEASE tell me How do we "seal" the border? Even if it was logistically and financially possible (you know, like have border patrol agents standing side by side From the Rio Grande to the Pacific Ocean), we would then represent total folly to the rest of the world.

I dunno about the middle name thing. Liberals never got all that charged up about Franklin Delano...only other common moniker was FDR....don't see why people get all charged up about it now. People dump on first ladies..Nancy Regan was dumped on constantly. So was Roslyn and even Lady Bird (who happens to be one of my favorites). It goes with the territory, get over it.

Jackie has a unique place in our history and was a very unusual and complex woman. Comparing any other first lady since to her is "apples and oranges".

It's US, obviously we can do anything we put our minds to. Of course we can protect our border at close to six sigma if we want to, efficiently. We can create an immigration policy that augments the work force when we are running at full employment, if we want to. We can protect the property rights, and civil liberties of our citizens if we want to. I'll bet we could cause those drug cartels a whole lot of pain. Expense.?...geez....we just flushed 3 trillion with nada to show for it....can't possibly come near to costing that. Of course we can do it.

Represent folly to the rest of the world? How does one maintain sovereignty if one's decisions are subject to the follies of other countries? We have specifc border issues and it is our duty to deal with them. Faced with the same issue, most countries would do the same, if the had the ability.

I wonder which side of the border the folks on this site want to be standing on when they seal it.
people like that probably think with their self assumed entitelments the Mexican people will still welcome them with open arms.

The FDR reference won't fly. Roosevelt's mother named him after her favorite uncle who had ties to the Mayflower. Roosevelt virtually used his middle name or initial from childhood. Show me an instance where the current president has used his middle name or initial. Between the fact that his middle name easily conjures up thoughts of Arabs or Muslims and the constant din of personal attacks over issues such as his country of birth ( Limbaugh just made a remark about questioning how anyone could know if the other day was really his birthday).....

I have no problem with educated and informed people taking issue with his politics or policies. But it just seems to me that the background level of attack on ephemeral personal issues is just plain wrong.

As for the border thing. A segment of our populace has somehow managed to conflate a number of seemingly unrelated issues believing that there is strength in numbers. Why is it that the self same people who rant loudest about illegal immigration also involve themselves in issues ranging from anti-gay rights, anti-pro- choice, anti tax? some strange bedfellows.

Dig a moat and stock it with 'gators and Great Whites. Patrol it with Nuclear Powered Subs and Carriers.
How would that do for our image, Howard. Do you really care? It's our obsession with image that got us into this mess in the first place.

I refrain from commenting about the Educated and Informed, The school I went to didnt issue diplomas, It did enstill a powerful sence of right and wrong. And if anything was ever wrong all this Bull shit about the border is WRONG,WRONG Itis a SHAME a whole race of people be DEMONIZED. to serve the political ambitions of a few .The greater crime is that there is standing laws on the books to fairly deal with the problem
