Hello, TB members. For those who are interested, I recently returned from my second visit to Punta Banda and, although I hardly believe it, it looks like I'll be moving there in mid-January! I found a BEAUTIFUL casa for rent, with practically a 360-degree view of the Pacific and Ensenada Bay. The owners and I have yet to sign a lease, but it appears that we are on track. Thanks for all your past info and advice leading up to this prospective move. Already, I have SO many new questions (and SO much to do, once I calm down and convince myself that I'm really going to do this); I hope you will bear with me/them over the next several weeks.

While I realize that "legs" was making a good- natured jest, there is some truth in what she says. it's comparable to the differences among US states, where there are vast differences both in climate and culture. Since you are from the Bay Area, the Punta Banda climate should be very appealing. it's also within a stone's throw of major shopping and the border. High incidence of english speakers, too. But you already know that!
