Default soulpatch

Middle aged and married to the excellent mother of my very cool twinlets....lucky me!
I love baja and also mainland....a few years to retire from my current career path and then it is time for some other adventure in some other place.
Have a trailer in the sand at Gecko in BOLA and we sure love it there.

Sorry about that picture removal folks......there has been a little thing involving the web lately that I am probably over-reacting to but still spooks me a bit.

Frank, did you read my question to you posted here this morning, regarding the photo...?

The "soulpatch" is a little work joke.
When I bought my 14' Gregor years ago I was trying to figure out a name for it and our work mechanic suggested "Soulpatch". And, when I am out on a perfect day on the SOC that's exactly what it is.
Now, as to the name suggestion by our mechanic we have quite the ivory tower at work. We have and have had Chiefs that enforce rules selectively and then violate the ones they don't like.Hence my position as a Union Trustee.
I ended up doing a little research about grooming standards and found that almost all grooming standards have fallen at the Federal level due to litigation.
So, just to stick my thumb in the eye of these chiefs I grew a soulpatch. THEY FLIPPED! I was ordered to shave it off and did so immediately to avoid an insubordination disciplinary issue and also immediately filed a grievance based on ANSI and OSHA standards and the fact that one of these same chiefs had never finished his segment of our revised rules and regs which just happened to be grooming standards.
Long story short, it was fun to ultimately stand in front of our board, 3 of 5 who had soulpatches, and have my chief try to say my soulpatch "looked like a Hitler thing". Needless to say, I prevailed and now you will see a lot of soulpatches in the East County FD's.
There ain't nothin' more I like poking at than hypocrisy. Especially when the folks espousing it aren't smart enough to back their own play. Must be the Irish in me.
