Was it cold last night or what? I feel bad for those across the border who live in plywood shacks and don't have the luxury of turning on the furnace when the temp dips below a certain point. It was 43 degrees when I took my 7-year old daughter to school in IB this morning. My 9-year old son opted to stay home......because mom gave him permission.

Curious, Ron, how are the temps in San Q.?

San Quintin has felt the cold as well, although the backdrop of the volcanoes creates a warmer pocket for us against the warmer sea temps. It usually helps to keep the night time temperatures at La Chorera anywhere from four to ten degrees warmer than in town...

I wonder how long it will take after I move to become re-aclimated enought to complain about 43 degrees being fridgid. I lived in Laguna Beach for many years and didn't think twice about women breaking out their furs when the thermometer dropped below 50.

After living in CT and WA for all these years, 50 degrees is t-shirt weather.

I can hardly wait to become a weather wuss again.

Speaking of those volcanos, have you ever looked into their history? Last eruption, etc.

With the weather news all across the US.... so much for "Global Warming" AL!

I found a couple of reports - one said 5000 years ago and another said 10 to 20,000 years ago...
