Post Mexico's ruling party wins Baja California Sur vote (Reuters)

Reuters - President Felipe Calderon's conservative National Action Party (PAN) won the governorship of the sparsely populated Baja California Sur, a state dominated by the left for most of the last decade, election results showed on Monday.

I think the PRD / PT party thought they might be on a roll after the recent results in Guerrero but it does appear that our friends on the southern end of the peninsula have had enough. I still see Enrique Penña Nieto (PRI) as the favorite to move into Los Pinos in 2012. Calderon is going to have to pull a rabbit out of his proverbial sombrero if he wants to get a PAN candidate out in front at this point IMHO...
