That's ONLY because all the pangas got pulled into dry dock! IMO, much better to err on the safe rather than sorry side!

The Tsunami hit CA in such places as Crescent City, Santa Cruz and Santa Monica. As this is being written, Seal Beach is closed.

Astounding that an event 6.000 miles away can do this.

That said, SOCAL is overripe for a massive temblor. The scientists say that the San Andeas is not capable of a 8.9. But it could be very close to 8.0.

It didn't hit us until about 3:30. I wouldn't have noticed it if someone didn't point it out. Tide surged in and out for about an hour and a half. Went from what would be a bit lower than the lowest (low) tide, to high tide a few times. Weird currents outside, and the boats anchored in the bay pointed one way, then another, as the currents went back and forth.

Apparently, at second point, some people barely got their cars off the beach in time as the water swept around the corner and all the way up to the bluffs. Missed that show

We did hear of some fishermen that talked about some crazy currents around the mouth of the bay but that was about it. Anybody know how Ensenada fared?
