Default Bahia de los Angeles, House for rent, long term

Here is your chance to try expat living in a beautiful house in Bahia. Rent is $450 a month. The house is beachfront, in a gated and guarded community about 5 miles south of the village. I am looking for long term renters and I will lease if you desire.

Top photo is the view from the deck, and the bottom is the house itself. The house is 600sf, one bedroom. off grid, with a moderate sized solar system. Kitchen is complete with a propane fridge, gas stove and lots of counter top and cabinet space. The garage is 20'x30' with a work bench
More info and photos on request.

Ron
Thanks for asking, that forces me to get more photos up and ready to help list this place. Here are the panels, They are behind the house. I pole mounted them so they can be rotated to capture more sun. Behind the panels is the elec/generator bldg.

Here is the inverter/charger, charge controller, and agm batteries.

For the cloudy days here is the 15kw, air cooled, propane powered Onan generator.

Here are a few more from inside the house.

The house is for sale, but if I can't sell it I will try to rent it.

That is a VERY nice place. The inside looks great and the location is excellent. If I were in the market to decompress and didn't have twinlets I'd be all over that.
Good luck, hope you get it rented Larry.

I found those pics and hotlinked 'em here. Hope you don't mind; the others were really too small to see much detail.

• Gas stove
• Gas refrigerator
• Microwave
• Lots of cabinets including pantry with roll-out shelves

• Air Conditioning
• King size bed
• Amazing views of the
Sea of Cortez and Baja desert

That is one nice looking place!

Is that guest house and boat still included?

Soulpatch
Thanks for the compliment. Why aren't you down here over the Easter holidays?

Bob r
The quads are not included, but if you ask me nice we may be able to work out a deal on the usage of the boat.

Marty
Thank you for the help with the photos, I need lots of help with sizing and uploading.

Actually I am not really in a position to lease your place. I thought i would throw it out there to see if it would stimulate some activity! Really is a tough market. I wish you luck and I have been passing the information on to people i know. Funny when you mention Mexico, most people go into wishful thinking mode and take no action.

Thanks for the refferrals. I wish I could find someone to give me the wishful thinking look. Usually I get dreaded "Mexico, are you crazy" look. Maybe if I offered to throw in a hundred pound sack of hundred dollar bills, I might get an offer. Probably not. Just have to wait this down turn in the economy out.

Larry,
There is an article kicking around somewhere in the last day or two, that shows the Mexican Govt, has set aside the funds to complete the road from San Felipe to BOLA. Might be a huge incentive for people to look at your place.

Bob

Better hurry on that idea before we really hit the wall.

How about marketing to the doomsday/survivalist crowd? A lot of what I think is pretty good advice is to not be near major population centers, and to be as self-sufficient as possible.

I'm frankly amazed at all the extras you are offering and how well-equipped/put together your place is. That area ain't great as far as agriculture potential/water supply, but it sure has the Sea Of Cortez fishery and is far, far from what might turn out to be, well; not some nice times in the big cities.

Your place looks great! I was just down in BOLA with the NORRA Group, Mexican 1000 Race a week and a half ago. We broke down about 60 miles out of BOLA and ended up staying another night on the beach.

I live in the Seattle Area and have been down for this race the last two years. The danger for me going down there is that I don't want to come back and now I want to return for a long extended stay or maybe forever. I haven't been around the bay where your place is but it looks doable.

You say you may sell, have you a price in mind?

That is a very nice looking place Larry! Have you thought of taking out an ad in the classified section of Sunset magazine with a link to the photos? A lot of people who subscribe to Sunset are the same types that enjoy coming down this way.

Just a thought...

Thanks for the link Marty. Hmm really got me thinking now...

I'm about to turn 57 in a few months and want to retire very soon if I can swing it. Only issue for me here is selling my condo. Prices are down and it may not cover his asking price of $80k. $50k is closer to my budget right now. I may just need to rent this place out for a few years until the real estate rebounds if it ever does.

That casa is turn key however with a truck and boat thrown in, I think that would just about do it for me.

Super job on your place... but, the table cloth .... now that is really striking ...

Best of luck ... I'm sure that it will sell ... given a little exposure as suggested..

Marty, Bgringo and wiley,
Thanks for the help, obviously I don't check in here often enough.

Funco
Well, if the boat and the truck are not enough, here is something else to think about. The house is rented right now and the renters have said now that they would like to stay longer. The house is rented for $350 a month, times 12 and that is $4200 a year, and the lease is $1100 a year. So the property has a positive cash flow of $3100 a year. You can't afford not to buy this place. You are losing money every month you wait.
Wow, is that the hard sell or what?
If you are ever in the area again, let me know and I would love to show it to you.
Larry
