Post Monstrous hurricane keeps southern Baja on alert (AP)
AP - Hurricane Dora swirled northward in the Pacific on Thursday as a powerful Category 4 storm with winds of 150 mph (240 kph) that kept nearby coastal areas on alert.

My guess is that with the fresh memory of the recent San Felipe / Erik tragedy, they are probably being overly cautious - a smart move...
