Default Cuddle Parties are a real thing
Proponents of cuddle parties say that they provide a non-sexual avenue for people to explore their boundaries, affection and communication. There’s an organization that trains people to facilitate, organize and throw cuddle parties. These parties usually start with an hour long Welcome Circle where introductions and ground rules are set.

The basic idea behind these parties is that cuddling releases oxytocin, which makes people feel happier. They insist that the parties are not sexual, and they have a number of rules to make sure this is the case: pajamas stay on at all times, and all cuddling is optional and needs a verbal yes before proceeding, for example. People at these parties spoon, nuzzle or just snuggle up together.
