Baja’s Association of Craft Breweries (ACABC) announces the 5th Ensenada Baja Beer Fest, which will be held on Saturday, March 23rd at the Riviera del Pacifico Cultural and Convention Center on Blvd Costero. Gates open at 2PM.

The Ensenada event is one of three ACABC festivals held yearly. The other Festivals are in Mexicali and Tijuana and are intended to showcase craft and homebrew talents of area brewers.

This is a great opportunity to sample some of the outstanding craft beers made in our local area. Over 40 booths will be featuring artisanal beers and additional booths featuring delicious food offerings. There will also be music presented by local talent.

Ticket costs are 250 MN per person in advance and can be purchased at the following Ensenada locations:

Howdy ,
I've probably read a dozen times where not having a passport/p'card is not a major problem getting back stateside as long as you have your birth certificate & driver's license. My question is, what about entering Mexico? Will they accept the same to get a "tourist card" to go to Ensenada? Or is one even necessary to go there? I've been down a few times in the past without incident. Has alot changed the last couple of years (re: Ensenada)?

I don't believe you need a tourist card to go to Ensenada, or anywhere along route 1 between TJ and Ensenada. You just need it to go south of there. But I've been to BoLA and San Quintin plenty of times and they've never bothered me about not having one even that far down. Technically I think you do need a tourist visa to go past Ensenada on the west coast, and past Mexicali on the east coast of Baja though.

You will need a US Passport to get the tourist "card" or permit. There is continuing confusion (ok, so what's new???) about the need for a permit to go south of Ensenada, south of Guerrero Negro, be in the country for 72 hours, 7 days or to be in the country at all.

My suggestion is to stop at the border, spend the $23 get the card and be done with it.............now the big debate is can you use it for multiple entries within the 180 day timeframe or do you have to turn it in when you leave the country.......

Whatever......attend the beer festival, stop by the Zombie Brew Labs booth and taste the Tres Brewjas selections........tell us who you are........would like to talk to you about LAFD!!!!
