I'm a Canadian who is seriously thinking of moving to RB. One of my present dilemmas involves the possible use of a Nexus pass versus a S.E.N.T.R.I. pass. The Nexus pass is used by Canadians and/or Americans to enter/exit the USA and/or Canada in much the same fashion as the S.E.N.T.R.I. pass is used for entry/exit between Mexico and the USA. My query is can a legitimate Nexus pass holder use the S.E.N.T.R.I. "ready lane" for rapid egress and entry? In other words is the Nexus pass honoured by the S.E.N.T.R.I. system? If anyone can assist with factual information, I'd really appreciate it.

Q: I’m a NEXUS member, can I use the SENTRI lane to enter the United States?

A: NEXUS members can use the SENTRI lane to enter the United States from Mexico provided they are in a SENTRI approved vehicle. (Participation in SENTRI requires the vehicle that will be used by the SENTRI participant be registered with CBP. The vehicle must be inspected by a CBP officer. If the vehicle passes CBP inspection, a SENTRI decal will be placed on the registered vehicle.)

Note: Vehicle will now require just an inspection, no stickers will be issued

PS: There IS a difference between SENTRI lane and the "Ready Lane"......two different birds.

There are no more SENTRI window stickers as of the end of June 2013. Now they only inspect the vehicle.
