One word of advice............winter can be really cold and damp being on or near the ocean. If you rent/buy a place make sure the propane heater works, If it has a fireplace, make sure it works and you can get wood. Stay AWAY from any type of electric heat.

Dittos on the heat ... we used the 20lb propane tanks with the attachment which allows one to use the BBQ tanks for interior space heaters ... not sure what propane is up to now

We could get by for a week or two on each one ... refills we did in town .. @ the time, it was about $4.45 to refill ....... did wood too, one place we rented had a "franklin stove" which was about as close to an "air tight" wood burner as we got ... that worked pretty good

But, if you have ever used wood to heat, ya know what comes with it .... heated with wood for over 10 years ...

Didn't have to worry too much about ... killing ourselves off, due to "construction" of the structure ... lots of fresh air coming in through cracks ...

Propane Tank Top Heater - 15,000 BTU

We have one of those Propane Stoves that was designed to put a small propane bottle in. My house has Gas connections in every room so I bought a steel braided hose made for Gas and hooked it to the stove. The stove intended to be Portable looks like one of those Der-borne heaters we used in the states.
We have used this stove 10 years and it works quite well. but then my house is very well insulated.
