Default Knights Templar Cartel sends threats to Baja California Sur state police

- As has been reported by ZETA WEEKLY in Tijuana, a cell which has been identified as members of the Knights Templar, originally from Michoacán, started operating in the middle of last December in the northern Pacific zone, after they killed the former head of the territory, identified as Iván Villavicencio Arce, alias "EL TAQUERO."

The prestigious publication reported that since then, and under the command of a former Mexican army member named Henry Froilán Rojas Ramírez, alias "El ZOPILOTE" [the Vulture], they have increased the sale of drugs, mainly cristal and cocaine, through a network that covers the main towns in the area.

When a special group of State Preventative Police arrested the Knights Templar street dealers, according to ZETA the following immediately
occurred:

When the drug dealers were handcuffed, one of the police commanders received a cell phone call. On the other end of the line was Froilán Rojas Ramírez, “El Zopilote” and there was the following text message exchange:

EL ZOPILOTE: Either you let them go or we are going to fuck you up.
POLICE COMMANDER: You aren't going to threaten me, come for them if you can.
EL ZOPILOTE: Are you feeling brave?
POLICE COMMANDER: I'm not brave, but if you want your people, come for them bastard.
EL ZOPILOTE: Look buddy, I'm not fooling around, let them go or we are going to fuck you up.
POLICE COMMANDER: As you want it, I'm here and I'm taking them in.
EL ZOPILOTE: I'm here watching you. I only have to give the order and you are all dead. Let it go, whore, we're the Knights Templar and we are not bullshitting you, we have people all around you, better let them go or you won't leave here alive, what do you think?

The police commander hung up the telephone and ordered all those arrested to be taken to jail. The anticipated attack he was threatened with never came.

Scary.

I take off my hat to the police commander. Obviously there still are a lot of good, honest cops but my God what they have to deal with...

The Knights Templar got slapped pretty hard. Clearly they are not the chosen ones and the word is out.

Those folks in Michoacan got tired of it and handled it until the government stepped in. Now Presidente Nieto is throwing money at Michoacan.

The sheer numbers game of all those citizens against a much smaller amount of hoodlums was overwhelming.

Maybe that is the precedent to be set: Step up as citizens and then the Feds step in with the pesos.....

Maybe this will help to speed the consolidation of the business structure to send drugs to the appetites around the world.... vice? That's whole 'nother can of worms....

It's a supply and demand issue.

An oversimplification, no doubt, but something is in the works..... heavy hitters have been getting popped over here in Jalisco and Nayarit.
The deck is getting reshuffled.

I agree. Watching a news commentary program on satellite from Mexico City the other night, one of the topics was Michoacan and the success of the self defense groups there. One of the comments that caught my attention was how a lot of eyes are on that region now and that voices within the government are taking another look at how they can authorize and provide a legal basis for other such groups to organize and form around the country, to support the police and military.

Squeeky Wheel Gets the Grease

We are also going to see shifts this year just due to the fact that that pot is becoming legalized all over the USA.

Be an interesting year...... kidnappings are up. Hopefully more citizens will become squeeky wheels......
