Default Anybody Having Trouble With Firefox 3.5.2 and HTTPS?

A few days ago, I couldn't get to blogger.com; now my yahoo email is out to lunch.

Both HTTPS protocol; IE8 hooks right up.

I'm having problems getting into my Yahoo account too....time to look for a more reliable service provider! This is becoming an all too frequent problem with Yahoo. Historically, it's always been worse on Sundays, which I've always attributed to higher volume usage slowing everything down. I did upgrade to the newest Firefox maybe 2 weeks ago, but I'm not techie enough to differentiate between which is causing my problems. <<<Lotta help, huh? I just now got back into Yahoo.

It's a browser header.

I havent noticed any problems with Yahoo. My Yahoo home pace comes up (along with several other tabs) when ever I fire up Firefox in the morning. Have had absolutly no problems with it.

Having said that, it will probably crash tomorrow.

Kind of the same subject, but there are lots or programs some of us have that need updating.

I found one at CNET, a pretty well respected tech. site

CNET TechTracker - Free software updates tool for Windows PC - CNET.com

Works very well. Lets me know that program updates are available showing whether the are free or have trial periods or have to be purchased. Then you decide which to update.

Done quite a few updates with it and ame satisfied

I think Yahoo is really scraping the bottom of the barrel on creativity for new error messages!

That message does tell you something; it could find the server, but couldn't complete the connection. Where did you get that from? Mine looks like this.

Something else that is kind of funny; the image is very fuzzy for some reason, but I could barely make out that it was HTTP; not HTTPS.

The problem is with all encrypted pages: yahoomail, blogger, Wells-Fargo...

*Weird: my Preview displayed the image...

Sorry about the fuzzy image.....I sent it to a friend to crop a personal e-mail message out of the background & I think they enlarged it a little & returned it to me as a .jpg file because I can't get .bmp attachments to display in a post.

What it says across the top is: "The page at "http://us.mc500.mail.yahoo .com" says:"
<<<I just added the space in front of .com because the TB system insisted on making it into a Yahoo "click-here" brown shortcut URL The msg appeared after 60-11 failed attempts to get my mailbox to refresh & let me see new msgs.

This is the first time I've ever seen this error msg & it's one of the type that you have to X out of before you can navigate elsewhere, so I had to get the screen print the only way I knew how so I wouldn't lose the msg. I get the error msg that you posted....ALL THE TIME!

Mystery solved: Webroot Desktop Firewall...

I turned it off>>works. Turned it back on>>doesn't.

Had to add my mailserver's IPs manually to it's trusted list.

Bleh. Been working fine for years. They obviously changed something with an update.

Damn lucky it dawned on me to try that.
