Does anyone know the approximate cost for ambulance service from 25 miles South of San Ysidro to the US Border?

An old neighbor of ours had to transport a friend via ambulance from Primo Tapia to the border a few years back. I know they negotiated the price and as I recall it was around $600 including a cardiologist and nurse who accompanied them on the trip for the safety of the patient.

Not a bad price considering that where I live in the US, a less than 3 mile emergency trip via the City's paramedics is $750. Of course my insurance covers this cost.

Nope, but I paid 1600 dlls for a ride from Ensenada to the border.

There seems to be a big price variation for this service so you have to shop around. I didn't have time for that.

We paid $250 for an ambulance from Loreto to Constitution.
