Wow! We live on the edge of a canyon overlooking Mission Valley here in San Diego. The wind is howling, things are blowing out on the patio, one of the blades has torn off the ceiling fan under the upstairs deck and the rest are spinning to beat the band. The whole fan body is swinging almost parallel to the ground. I moved the dining table from beneath it in case the whole thing breaks loose. No rain yet, though........anyone who has to drive in this, be careful!

I have a feeling that the covers on all our balcony furniture in Rosarito are probably gone bye-bye.....

The reason it didn't hit you hard is because you were prepared with that helmet & face plate!

Clear & starry here in La Paz! Look at it as a good test of your gargola-less roof. And consider this payback for all the hurricanes we get that you don't!

Who's complaining? I just hung all the dirty laundry outside on the clothesline. I just spray it all with 409 and let the rain take care of the rest.

I wonder if that would work on the dogs...

No wonder marriage wasn't quite what you expected!! At least you used 409 rather than WD-40!

Dogs? Naw, they wouldn't go for it! But I think the cats would really enjoy it....you try it & report back, okay?

Started raining here about 10:00 last night and didn't stop until about 9:00 this morning. The current forecast is for rain everyday through Saturday.

I think I will find one of the boxes with some of my books and put my feet up...

That'll work....because with YOUR laundry technique, you gotta leave the clothes out on the line until after the sun returns to dry them!

Rain is really coming down right now.

The wind is trying its best though to dry my clothes out on the line...

Reminds me of the monsoons that would hit us in NW Argentina when living there years ago. I watched several cars get washed away in the subsequent flooding. It was very scary at times. Especially getting out to my house in the country where you would just drive - no clue if you were on the road or not.

Right now it's a beautiful day out here on the beach. Looking at the sat image I guess this is the proverbial calm before the storm.
