Ok, Ok.. it was a bad idea... I will stay in the Ford...

Must have been all that bicycle talk... seemed like Mex1 had changed, the way folks were using it..

Thanks for the reality check.. could have been med's..

I'm ok right now.. I think..

thanks David... that's kinda the way I thought it might work..

after thought, how about inline skates?

I have seen in neighborhoods people using them in Baja to get around, sounds like just going to your OXXO and the bar bothe in your "hood" you would be fine. Just do not recommend taking it out of the neighborhood tho

Some of those carts get up and move......I think for local trips you should be fine but I guess it completely depends on your stretch of HWY 1.
I would rather see you throw the blanket over the donkey and see you sauntering along your mission that way.....mas autentico!

They rent carts no larger or faster than golf carts to the cruise ship idiots in Ensenada. No mirrors, no speed, no protection. They drive them out to La Buf, through Mexican traffic and down HWY 1.
No restrictions since it's for tourism and all that nonsense.
I can't believe there have been no incidents, but who would mention it if there was. No bad press for tourism.

Years ago, we were staying at Las Brisas in Acapulco, widely known for their fleet of pink Jeeps. We thought it would be cool to drive one of them into town. The problem: everyone knew we were "rich" gringos and I cannot tell you how many times someone tried to clean our windshield with a dirty rag. That said, it's just a couple of miles from Las Brisas to get into Acapulco centro. I can't imagine trying to drive a golf cart from the cruise dock all the way to La Buf. Traffic on Mex 1 is a bitch, zigging and zagging. Hope they have enough time to get back before the ship sails.
