It's going to be interesting watching what happens with the volunteer palm that must have hitchhiked along in the dirt of this cactus a friend gave me! The palm waited a few months before it made its' presence known. Hopefully Mother Nature will make space for both to co-habitat....because I'm not going to try to separate them!!!

Depending on what type of palm it is you may find it eventually pushing the cactus aside. Maybe you need to call a good tree surgeon with some of those wire mesh gloves???

The red spines on the small biznaga only LOOK like ribbed grosgrain ribbon!!

I can attest to that! I dropped my camera & my "Catch it quick!" reflexes were faster than my "No way in hell; let the camera hit the ground!" reflexes!

Thanks Kate! I'm using my first ever digital camera....STILL!!! It's a FujiFilm FinePix 2650, it's 9 years old & I love the simplicity of it....that's why it's been in hospice care for the past couple years! It's probably taken over 50K pics! Every pic I post is usually one of 3-60 that I took to get the shot I wanted! I need a life!

Hopefully my new camera will take closer & clearer macro shots! I'm waiting for a larger memory card....4-5 pics fill the card & that drives me crazy, so I'm still using my old standby....which admittedly sucks at macro! But I liked these shots, at least the colors are good!

Must say, you have a few there that you take care of... like the pictures and look forward to anyones photos after they get a new camera... they really take pictures..

I can't even imagine what you will do with a lot of memory to take a really lot of pictures...

I still have a hard time taking MORE pictures..

Have never had a camera where I could take almost a 10000 pictures in one battery charge

I keep trying to keep it around my neck... when I get to go outside.. but, then I forget to just start shooting....

Got try more..

I really do find that is one thing I can't kibtz about, mother nature.. I just love it.. all of it..
