Default More Sunday in Bahia Asuncion
On the thread, Sunday Morning in Bahia Asuncion, I left out a very important building for a Sunday morning; the church. Yes, this is not the only church in town, but it is the one to which most claim affiliation.

While the town is quite new having only began in the 1950s with families from San Ignacio, it is quite old-time and conservative in its value. It is a place where the women and girls in town swim in their clothes, and look a little shocked by outsiders who wear bathing suits.

That is not to say that everyone makes it to church every Sunday----that does not happen.

But we think the new church is beautiful and unique in its simplicity.

First the outside of the church, and then a few of the unique stained glass windows that share a religious theme along with scenes that represent life in the community.

Really nice looking church....will look even nicer once they get it painted. GREAT hinges!!

Don't hold your breath waiting for paint---we think it will be a la natural for a long time.
