How does one view prior days' posts?
Hello. Can someone tell me if there is an easy way to read, e.g., all messages posted yesterday, or 2 days ago? It's easy to view "Today's Posts," but there's no like to "prior days' posts", and I can't find any way, other than searching a specific key word, to see older posts.
Thanks, anyone, for your help! |

Re: How does one view prior days' posts?
One of the Mods might come along soon & joyfully correct me, but after a brief search of User Control Panel (User CP), Edit Options....there's a place in Thread Display Options down near the bottom to set Default Age of thread visibility.....BUT even if it's set for All Threads forever, the only way to access threads older than approx 36-48 hours is by going into each individual forum & manually scanninng with your eyeballs.
If I lied....it wasn't intentional! And just for the record, BajaGringo HAS BEEN KNOWN to tweak with the programming to change how things work & then deny it just to jerk our chains! |

Re: How does one view prior days' posts?
I saw the Thread Display Options in the CP, but I don't always want to see more days of threads, just sometimes, especially when the most recent threads are all news links. So if I don't look every couple of days, I miss stuff.

If you want to see all the posts that you missed since your last login, just click on the "QuickLinks" link on the top menu bar. There you click on "New Posts" and it will query all the posts since you last logged on, however many days that has been.

BG, I think you should remove that feature.....those who don't check in every day don't deserve to have their catch-up made so easy!

I'm more fascinated by the concept that anyone thinks any of us post anything worth searching for.
'cept the pics, of course. You people do great eye candy! Last edited by dusty; 07-05-10 at 12:07 PM. |
