Hello TallkBaja!

My name is Reyes and I am a friend and neighbor of Ron / BajaGringo. I grew up in San Quintin and have worked as a fisherman here since I was a young man. Today I own my own company with 12 pangas and my own packing house for a wide variety of marine species for which we hold federal fishing concessions.

I look forward to getting to know some of you and hope you spend some time in our wonderful corner of Baja if you haven't had the opportunity. If you have only seen San Quintin driving through on the highway, you haven't seen San Quintin.

Thank you all for your warm welcome. It is great to be able to share with others who share my love of this peninsula. It is my life story. I hope all of your experiences here are good ones. Somebody saw this thread and sent me an email, asking how they could get in touch with Reyes to charter a panga. It's probably my fault as I should have made it clear. Reyes runs a commercial fishing operation and the pangas all work under commercial fishing permits.

To get a day out with Reyes on a boat is a very special affair and unfortunately, by invitation only. If you want to charter a sportfishing panga in San Quintin I always recommend my good friend Meño. You can reach him by email at:

Hi There Reyes. I am a addict too. I am new here as well but welcome. This next summer I am moving to San Quintin myself. I Love it there. I have traveled alot for many years all over Mexico and Love it all but for me and my "Addiction" the perfect town is SQ. I hope that we can Hook up some time. I go out by myself alot of the time so Keep in touch .
