Trip Report....
WOW!!!! A never before posted in forum!! Adhering to my non-conformist approach to life....I'll take the lesser traveled path & pull out my green cray to post my trip report here....despite the fact I virtually flew over the roads!!
I flew out of La Paz, searching for Mike, DonKay & Solo, unfortunately, due to lack of cooperation on the pilot's part to fly at an altitude conducive to these old eyes spotting a white donkey amongst the barren terrain....a DonKay sighting simply wasn't in the cards. First pic shows El Comitan, with CIB & the shrimp beds (rectangular shapes along the water) on the right edge. Point of interest maybe only to me....this pic encompasses all 3 of the casas I've built....if you know where to look! Flew over some very rugged terrain, but alas, spotted no DonKay tracks! I got shots of several island along the way. I was curious whether I'd done a flyover of BG's, but none of the shapes appear to match Isla San Martin. Well, that & the fact that there was land on both sides of the water tell me we mighta been following a little more of an Eastern flight path! I'll be the first to admit to being directionally challenged!! And I gotta register a complaint with Alaska Air about the terrible view & photo opportunities on the Q400 due to crappy OEM engineering design for nacelle placement!! |

Re: Trip Report....
That damned nacelle really put a crimp in my sunset from 30,000' shots!! Pilot banked perfectly for my first shot & then refused to cooperate again!!
I saw my first SNOW in 7 years!! Ditto for freezing rain, steel gray skies, moss green & a major amount of really cold rain!! But gawd was it nice to get back home....well, except after I got home, my friend who picked me up & helped me unpack left some old pics & other "treasures" in an envelope on my bed....when I ran her home, Maggie & Jenny expressed their disappointment over my leaving them so soon after my 2-week absence & chewed the ratone poop out of a bunch of old pics as a loud commentary of their feelings of abandonment! |

Re: Trip Report....
Our cats "punish" us when we leave them alone too long by unrolling all the toilet paper and paper towel rolls in the house...
