I have had many ask me how I moved all my furniture down here. There are some services available that will do so but I found them to be on the expensive side. I was on a limited budget and just moved my stuff down to a friends garage just north of the border and then made small trips down with a pickup truck to my place. I am only a few hours drive from the border and never had any problems this way and it proved to be a lot cheaper too. If you don't have somewhere like I did to leave your things before moving them across I guess you could just rent a storage unit for a few weeks.
