From my perspective, if and when the US government recognizes medical care in Mexico as qualified for Medicare payments, that would be the day to celebrate.

Ya remember that "sucking" sound that someone coined regarding NAFTA...
Well, what ya think the AMA thinks about giving Mexico all that business... Gee, maybe they could put in "adjustments" to costs from this side of the border so... they wouldn't take as big a hit ... like maybe review by a MD.... NOB... prior to acceptance of said recommendation from Mexico.. Get the darts out for what would be fair ... for the NOB Doctors "review"... But, sure like the idea of allowing ones Medicare to be covered anywhere in the World... as it would in most cases be much cheaper for the "Program".... just saying... ![]() ![]()

Except that a huge number of AMA members refuse to to take Medicare patients.
Maybe they'd be happy. |

It will be interesting to hear what they have to say about Medicare. Seems to me that all the complaining doctors would be happy to have it taken off their hands...
