the one on the TV is the plug into the receptacle... mine has been unplugged for just about 3 years..

Well, yeah; it certainly has it's drawbacks.

You still see that they have posted. The post itself does not display unless your curiosity gets the better of you and you want to see what they posted.

But didn't you just tell the software you didn't?

Also if someone else quotes the person, you will still see that because, and this is a very important point, everything that is contained in a person's post is under complete control of that poster.

It matters not if the text reads "Originally Posted by so-and-so" or not. Example:
