Reyes and the rest of the gang join Cristina and I there for breakfast almost daily when we are in town. I love the personal service Miguel and crew offers us - it really does have a local feel, much like the Cheers Bar.

Miguel speaks English and his restaurant / bar is a great pit stop for those travelling through or find themselves needing a referral and directions to a local auto mechanic/electrician or any other road "emergencies".

Good guy and a very, very good friend...

Where is Restaurant/Bar Quintin located? When we drive North we usually overnight somewhere in or around San Quintin.

It's on the west side of the highway, just north of the bridge, right next to Motel Chavez.

For years, when traveling Hw 1, we stayed at the Chavez, since she was about the only decent choice in town. We ate at the place next door frequently, but it was under a different name then?? Is that right ??

Thanks for the welcome and sorry for not answering sooner. I had a problem with my PC but I am now back online. To answer your questions:

@ MartyC: We have made several changes including a new menu, some remodeling inside and we now have regular take-out service.

@BobR: Thanks for that Bob - next time you stop by let me know so I can put a face with your username. You have got to be better looking than bajagringo.

@BigWoo: Stop by your next time through - we'd love to see you.

@Ed: The restaurant has always been called Restaurant Bar Quintin since it was built in 1982. In fact the outside has retained basically the same color scheme. Are you thinking of somewhere else perhaps?
