Thought I recognized the locale; right next to Motel Chavez.

You got it Marty. If you are heading south the Motel Chavez is the last place on the right before the bridge. There are two hotels across the street on the east side: Villa de San Quintin and Hotel Maria Celeste.

I eat there all the time. Good food, fair prices and very friendly service. Miguel, the owner, treats you like a king. In the afternoons there is always a friendly face on the bar half of the establishment with whom you can stop and share a cold one...

Yes they do have breakfast although I wish they would open earlier...

They are going up. I think the idea is to eventually make the entire downstairs a restaurant and then move the bar upstairs...

OK. So, given the free wifi thing, how good is the food? There are a number of really good breakfast spots in the area (I think of Mision Santa Isabel and Viejo San Quintin as a couple, off the top of my head).

I have breakfast there several times a week, usually over meetings and have the opportunity to try them all. My favorites are Quintin, Don Quixote, Viejo San Quintin and El Molino. They are all good but Bar Quintin is my favorite...
