Default San Quintin

Getting ready to head to San Quintin in mid February. Since I am getting anxious I am very curious as to what the current weather is. As well as any conditions getting there that I should be concerned about, and of course avaiability of clams.

Hi Bob, My wife and I are going to make a two-night trip to San Quintin the end of January, I will be happy to give you a report on the drive and visit. How are you planning to make the trip?

This is one of our favorite places to eat when visiting San Quintin. There seem to always be a lot of patrons at this place. We like the lunch menu there. Very good food.... and very clean!

Please give us an update on the clam population! Used to dig them up while camping at El Pabellon several years ago.

Yes I am starting to get excited about going down to San Quintin. I will be driving! Have not decided where I am going over the Border at. Usually depends on my mood of the moment.

I like getting the Pismo clams from the harvesters but that can be dificult if I do not catch them at the beach at the end of the tide. Have not figured out where to buy them or where to get the smaller clams. Oysters I have figured out. Lobster is kind of hit or miss and one time ended up with two dozen.

Have never been to the Santa Isabella (SP) but have been to there other restaurant.

Any reports I would be greatly interested in.

I will be taking the quads and want to go look at the arera where they had the salt operation.

That is a very good place to eat like you said it was my favorite place to stop on my many trips to Muleje in the past. Lately we stop at the new Mission It has plenty of parking for our rig.

If you liked it before you will enjoy it even more this trip. They have been doing some upgrading and the food is great!

The clams have been coming up the last week or so - probably a lot easier to just buy some fresh off the fishermen unless you really like digging...
