I just want to introduce myself to the members of this forum. We have spent two winters in the Baja but the last time was some 8 years ago. We are seriously considering travel to the Baja again after all these years. Our travel equipment has changed considerably from when we travelled to the Baja and I am a bit concerned that it may not be as easy as it was. This is really the main reason I will be reading and learning from the posts that have been posted or will be posted. Thank You

On both of our prior trips we travelled in a 34' 5'er pulled by a 4 wheel drive Dodge. Now we travel in a 40' tag axle coach pulling a Toyota Tacoma double cab truck. On the back of our coach we have a platform that carries my Gold Wing motorcycle, this makes the coach 47 feet long. The last times we spent every night parked on a beach someplace. Now I am a bit concerned about the weight of the coach and excitability plus I am sure that many things and places have changed in the years that we were there. We have lots of solar panels so dry camping is never an issue and have done that for years and we would much prefer that over staying in RV parks. Any information related to these and other helpful hints would be great.

Welcome aboard... I added one RV park to your other post... Things have not changed much since 2005, other than road improvements... They have been widening sections of Hwy. 1 to have paved shoulders/ bike lane width. Also, Hwy. 5 is now paved to Gonzaga Bay from San Felipe, about 3 miles north of the Pemex at Alfonsina's driveway. It is still 38 dirt miles to Hwy. 1 from the pavement, and trailers will take a beating on that washboard road.
