Heard about it this weekend. Made a lot of news here as it isn't something we see that often here. Hope they catch the bastards.

More than likely one of those random, sporadic things. The story is not very detailed. I specifically refer to whether the victims may have been followed from somewhere else, after being observed flashing money, or whatnot. It's not like Cielto Lindo is on the main highway.

The word out today is that the cops believe them to be a small band out of Ensenada on the run. The same band hit the owner of the oyster operation down on the Cielito Lindo beach taking all of his weekly receipts - about $6k USD, leaving a lot of local fishermen and their families with no paycheck. With the drop in tourism the area has become more isolated than it used to be...

It's time for the local police to do some undercover work posing as tourists. When the bad guys show up and try to rob them the undercover guys can open up on them killing each and everyone of them. The police should then plaster it in all the newspapers and television station news outlets indicating where it happened and that undercover police riddled them with bullets. This way, maybe the bad guys will get the hint not to try it or at least think twice before trying it in this area. Ah but what the hell do I know.
