Desert Rose.....a friend brought me this flower after I'd painted the pot! Turned out to be the perfect color!

This Bougainvillea started out with magenta edging each of the white blossoms. I think I screwed up it's PH or whatever by putting coffee grounds around it to keep the ants off of it; now it doesn't know whether it wants to be white, magenta, or a blend of the two! I think the first pic looks like it ought to be a bridal bouquet!

Speckled Aloe blossoms

really pretty, like the last one the most... quite unusual

I'm leaning towards the Speckled Aloe.

It reminded me that I wanted to ask a question. Are chicks and hens common in Baja? I will see if I can remember how to post a picture here. This picture was taken last year about a couple months after I planted it. This one is about to flower and I was rather shocked to see how big it got. (and rude)

Barbareno, I miss Hens 'n Chicks! I had hundreds of them in OR & WA. There are a few different varieties available in the La Paz area, but they haven't done well for me at all outside; even if I put them on the AM sun side of the casa, they fry! I've moved a couple inside & they do a lot better.

Here's a tree variety that started outside....until the leaves all began turning black from to much sun; it's doing a lot better inside & the black leaves are nearly gone.

I'll bet even Timo is jealous of that one you're growing!

That is amazing! What are the chances of getting it that close?
