Border crossing

We went to San Diego Wed. since they are working on the Tecate hwy. We went up blvd.2000 to the Tecate free road and across. All and All it was a nice relaxing drive Some detractors may say its farther that way Maybee so but at least you are moving and not breathing all those exaust fumes.
Cane back through San Ysidro, the homeland security boys were out in force checking south bound traffic traffic It was backed up past where you get off to go to duty free stores. It just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy because they are taking such good care of us. The A-- Holes

I understand the need for those random checks but to operate them for hours at a time as they often do is a total waste of time. If they don't get anybody in the first 5 minutes they have gotten off the freeway by then to just wait them out until the coast is clear...

Just another hindrance to tourism. It's obviously a royal pain for those who must transition on business. But it is also a major nail in the coffin of what was once a thriving border tourist industry.

It makes one wonder if thr hinderance part isnt the grand design of the whole thing
