I havent used it but I read on another site it will be the far LEFT lane unless peak times then the far LEFT 2 lanes . My question is how do you get in those lanes its the same lanes you are suposed to use in your RV and you have to fight to get over there when you are in your RV. at least thats been ny experince

After having used the Ready Lanes at both Otay Mesa and San Ysidro my experience is that although the lines are longer at Otay Mesa they are usually much faster than the lines at SY. At Otay you have two lanes (with concrete barriers to prevent cutters) feeding into as many as 6 Ready Lanes. At San Ysidro it remains a confusing state of affairs, mainly due to the fact that there is no physical separation from the normal lanes.

I had a SENTRI pass but let it expire as I simply wasn't crossing enough anymore to make it worth the hassle. I have found that by choosing the right time to cross I can normally make it through in less than 30 minutes.

Probably less than that at 9-11pm at Otay. Otay seems more business oriented so tourists probably don't go or know that route as much.

The Ready Lanes are the two left most lanes on Garita de Otay leading to the US CBP inspection booths. You CANNOT access the Ready Lanes northbound from the regular lanes. They (Mexico, I assume) have placed concrete barriers to seperate the Ready Lanes from the regular lanes.

The below directions are to the Ready Lanes using the toll road north from Ensenada, then Blvd 2000.
May seem complicated, but it's actually easy with a minimum of turns and driving. I believe that you can use these directions with an RV:

Proceed north on the toll road from Ensenada.

Continue north on the toll road approximately 36 miles, passing Puerto Nuevo. Just south of Rosarito, there will be an exit for, and marked Corridor 2000. Exit the toll road here. There is a 25 Peso toll fee.

After the toll booth, you will be on Corridor 2000 (may be signed as BC Mex 201 or Blvd 2000)

Proceed approximately 26 miles on Corridor 2000 (Blvd 2000 or BC Mex 201)
Follow the signs for Garita Otay/Tijuana/San Diego/Tecate/Mexicali
You will pass from a rural area to an urban area. Be aware of cross traffic and pedestrians. You will also pass a Commercial Mexicana on your right and a Home Depot on your left…….when you pass the Calimax on your right, move into the right lane.

At about the 26 mile mark, there will be a sign indicating a ramp to your right for Tijuana/San Diego. Take this ramp which will put you on Industrial Blvd………if you go straight, you will end up on the toll road to Tecate!!!!!!!

Follow Industrial Blvd west for approximately 5 miles.
You will pass under a “Panasonic” footbridge, and up and over the business district overpass.

As you come down from the overpass, there will be a McDonalds & PEMEX on your right.
Just past the McDonalds/PEMEX you will come to a stoplight controlled intersection (Garita de Otay) with a tire shop to your right. (If you turn right at this intersection, you will be in the "regular" lanes)

To get to the Ready Lanes, proceed past Garita de Otay (the tire shop) continuing straight on Industrial Blvd.

Turn right onto Blvd Lazaro Cardenas - a stoplight controlled intersection (may also be marked as the route to the Tijuana Airport) .

Turn right onto Blvd Alejandero von Humbold - I believe it's the first street that you can make a right turn (may be signed as Ready Lane access)….proceed straight as this will set you up for the merge into the Ready Lanes on Garita de Otay.

If you do a Mapquest for San Diego then move to the Otay area and zoom in, you can plot the route and
print the map.

Howdy, Sorry for late reply.A ton of stuff in the last few weeks. Took vacation to Cancun with friends. First time. Absolutely beautiful, except for torturous time-share presentation. Uggh! Made it back in time to greet the U.S.S. Iowa now homeporting in San Pedro. Being former Navy I decided to volunteer on her in some capacity. Of course I'm still working on the fireboat ( 4 more yrs.). Managed to visit our beach casita @ SADM. Unfortunately way to brief. How things with you & yours?
