For the first time in La Paz, starting this sunday, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy ice skating in la paz. The ice rink will be located in the grounds of the municipal goverment offices. Capacity is 120 skaters at a time, and the ice rink will be open to the public for free from 3pm and 10pm from this dec 11 to jan 11.

The pic looks like a rounded rectangle, so maybe about 15 x 25 meters?

For Ice hockey, on second thought is there any other kind of stake for real men. Hell maybe we can have a pick up game I'll bring my gear.

Lang stakes like the ones pictured are the worse.

I know where there is
2- goal nets
2 complete set of Hockeys sticks (enough for 2 teams)
2- goalie sticks
2- goalie mask's
1 - trapper

All in LA PAZ (actually Centinario)

Actually, we have been having the odd friendly "MSHL" game .

Oh and those "LANG" skates, we used to call them the SkiBoots of Hockey.
I think Boris Salming was the first to wear them in the NHL !

Lange is a ski boot manufacturer, and it shows in those skates!!
Anybody else notice that the La Paz skating rink is conveniently located near the Cruz Roja?

Hope they have a rental facility.
Unlikely that many Pacenos have skates.

Ok, I went to the Lighting of the tree.

Nice show, Fireworks, Live Band and they were still making the ICE.

Heard some comments that it should be ready for tomorrow afternoon.
They let the kids on the surface tonight (it was basically snow) and all I can say is they were having a blast.

The skates are provided, "FREE". The time limit will be 1/2 hour or less subject to number of people waiting to use the ice surface.


I did not see any skates out so I don't know what shape they are in or if they are "Langes" or some Lange knock-off.

CDN_JOHNNY, did you check out the ice yet? Is it mushy? It sure looked like it... If the ice isn't too mushy I'll bring my stakes. It's a sure bet if I go skating I'll will get kicked off.
