Default Crossing into Baja

Hi,
i am going to be visiting in June to check out Rosarito Beach & Ensenada, i have a British Passport with a Current U.S.A Visa on it do i need to go to any Embassy Or Consulate here in the usa or can i do it all at the Border crossing i will have proper car Insurance in place beforehand by the way i should have said my visit will be 30 Days or less,
Also i believe you need certain things n the car for Mexico not sure what, things like a Warning Triangle in case of breakdown, reflective vest or jacket, maybe a First Aid Kit,
i would appreciate it if someone knows exactly what i need to have as i intend to be properly equipped to eliminate as many delays as possible, i know some countries in Europe make you carry a spare Light Bulb kit which i think is a sensible idea
Thanks in Advance
Eric Wxxxxxx (540)-xxx-xxxx

You really need to contact your embassy and the U.S. embassy to be comfortable with your trip.

The main issue I see is returning to the U.S. from Mexico, since you can drive or walk right into Mexico and nobody is going to care if you are British. You can go to Ensenada and Punta Banda for up to 3 days without a tourist card (and maybe longer, as there is no checking for it in the entire state of Baja California), as that is considered in the 'border zone' still.

It is returning to the USA that you will need to show your passport and explain the purpose of going into Mexico on your U.S. vacation.

If you can leave the U.S. and return again, on the same visa you got here on, then it is probably all okay!?
