Default Bahia de Los Angeles Trip Report

Just got back from a trip to PARADISE today. Weather was very nice, a little breezy. Entered into Mexicali and drove the SOC route. Roads are good and no detours. The road crew is making good progress...looks like about 2 miles of road is elevated and ready for compaction. Coco is up and about, he can use some cat food if you are passing thru. Looks like a drilling operation is starting at Chapala / Highway 1 intersection. Water ??? Fishing is non-existent, even the pangeros are getting skunked. Saw some pre-runners for the upcoming 200. Fish tacos at China's excellent as always. Always bummed out when it's time to come home. GOING BACK IN A MONTH

Thank you for the trip report Mothership... Any photos?
Is the 2 miles elevated and ready for compaction between the bridge and the Pemex at Gonzaga?

No. Starting at the Pemex and heading south. Progress is being made north of the Pemex about 1/2 mile ??? Work on removing part of the mountain just north of the military checkpoint continues. Lots of large boulders within the diggings. Looks they are trying to make the highway straight as possible. Pretty impressive amount of work since I last saw it the first week of June.

I will help with his photo posting using Photobucket.com or you can direct him using the Attach Files system here... I met Mothership a couple weeks ago in L.A. at the Campo de Cahuenga historical re-enactment (Max and I were selling books and bells).

Ateo on Baja Nomad has posted photos of the book set with a mission in the background. Seeing a Baja Talker reading a book in Baja is a new twist... very cool.

I hope Mothership adds more photos or sends me more to add here. Great Baja attitude is really refreshing!
