Default Spaniards Gird for Solar-Power Fee

Spaniards Gird for Solar-Power Fee

An Effort to Shore Up Public Finances Will Squeeze People Who Installed Panels for Their Homes

This was an aspect of individual production of "power" which has been in the back of my mind about Solar .... for a while

Public Utilities would appear to dislike folks removing themselves from the "treadmill" of never ending "payments" TO SAME

A bit hard to plan around this aspect .... just saying

If you change your system to battery based and "disconnect" from the grid, you avoid that fee. Or will they charge a fee to do that too???

Nope. If you're not connected to the grid, you face a fine of up to 30 million (yes, million) euros.

Don't the CA power utilities penalize solar users already?

Solar users in the states don't even need batteries. They just put their production through a meter into the grid and use what they need. The power company pays them for their contribution.
I could see the power companies lessening the purchase price of the power from the individual, but to fine them?
Time to revolt.

Something about the power being fed back into the system from solar owners with batteries not "being clean"...

CFE is now accepting direct feedback into their system if you have a solar, wind or combination system and if you don't have/use batteries. They will subtract your production against your CFE bill or if you produce more that you can use they will credit your account.

That's a laugh. Compared to the spikes and brown outs I routinely got from the grid for decades, my battery backed AC output is rock solid. Just more propaganda...

I think their definition of "Clean Energy" means energy generated by a "Clean Source".

i.e. Electricity generated by Solar, Wind and Water are classified as Green Energy batteries are not considered "Green Energy" producers.

Just playing a little devils advocate.
