Default Seafood Resturant-Rosarito Area

My wife and I will be celebrating our 45th yr anniversary this Dec. Any recommendations for a special restaurant, preferably seafood, would be appreciated.

Although we haven't been there yet, we keep hearing a lot of good things about Splash - south of town...

Splash is on our short list. We have been there and the food, catering mainly though to expats, is good.

I know it is out of your zone of interest, but consider Sano's in Ensenada. High end prices, but worth it for a special occassion. Great place for an anniversary dinner, outstanding food, excellent service. You can't go wrong!!!

We really like Splash, the last time we went it was so so I chalked it up to a off day.

Yes I have heard great things about Sano's. Isn't owned by the Hussong Family? Is it located just North of town by the ocean?

Living in the Las Vegas area most of the year, we appreciate a good steak or prime rib. I looked at Sanos menu on line. What do you recommend, filet mignon, rib eye, or prime rib?

My wife and I split a porterhouse and order salads and an extra potato....plenty to eat. I hear the prime rib is good, but think they only do that on Friday and Saturday. Have also had the rib eye.....excellent

You are the second person to recommend this place which I have never heard of before. What is their speciality?

Vince's Old Pier Seafood and Fish Market is a great place, run by a local family.

I agree that Vince's is always good for fresh seafood. Not very intimate though. Has anyone tried La Estancia or El Nido lately? Suzanne's had a good write-up in the SDUT last week.

Thanks to all for the feedback. We have decided to spend the night in a suite at Coral & Marina Hotel and dine at Sanos.

Have a great time and wishes for many more happy years!

Please give us a review of Hotel Coral and Sano's, it's been a few years since I've visited.
